The Kids Are Alright was a surprise for me. I really thought the film was about two teen aged kids of a lesbian couple finding the sperm donor that made them possible. It was SO MUCH MORE. It was dynamic, tackling family, love, lust, teen aged angst and parenting. I laughed, I cried, I felt...

Well I finally did it. Put on a hoody, some jeggins, chucks and went to see Eclipse. I had extraordinarily low expectations as I really did not like New Moon and honestly Eclipse was much better. Edward was still sort of annoyingly broody. There were a few moments that weren’t so bad and Jacob was...

I don’t know where to start with this one. Let’s see how about HUGE disappointment, too long, ridiculous story line, lots of fugly make up and over the top, absurd fashion. I loved the show, yeah I really did, never missed an episode. Maybe these gals can only be seen in 20 minute increments. I...

Pure gold in my book. Eye candy galore and Anna Wintour is as cold as ever and you will still love it. She is driven, determined and will probably be buried on top of a stack of Vogue Magazines. There is no attempt here to make her human or empathetic and by God, why? That...

I don’t know what has become of me. I found myself teary eyed or weeping for most of this movie. Man, getting old really sucks, especially if you are alone. Robert DeNiro is Frank Goode a pretty recent widower whose grown children live all around the country. This year they were all to see him...

A very nice movie. Embodies some great performances, especially from Carey Mulligan as Jenny and Alfred Molina as her father. I was not too impressed with Peter Sarsgaard’s David though. I don’t know if it was his paunch that turned me off or the fact that the chemistry between David and Jenny felt icky and...

This is going to be short since this movie was basically one big cute fest. Drew Barrymore did a great job directing this little chick flick. She stuck to being who she is (cute has made her millions obviously). Ellen Page did great. Vulnerable, bored, teen with an itch to get out of her little...

Love Happens, so does diarrhea but thankfully people don’t write movies about it. This movie was a snore-fest. I can’t even believe I watched it to be honest. Aaron Eckhart is handsome and has some charm but there really was very little chemistry with Jen Aniston. I gotta say though, she drives around Seattle in...

Meryl Streep does an excellent job as usual in this romantic comedy/romp. She is sincere, modest and funny. Alec Baldwin as Jake, Jane’s (Streep) ex husband is hysterical. Too bad there was not enough to keep the film from getting ridiculously schmaltzy. Nancy Meyers wrote and directed It’s Complicated and the premise is pretty good....

Ryan Bingham, George Clooney, has a job that takes him around the country about 340 days a year. In fact, he is working towards his 10 Millionth Mile! He works for a company that fires people when employers don’t have the balls to do it themselves. This lifestyle has led Ryan to doing public speaking...
